
Directed by videographer Greg Singer, Papa’s Branch (USA, 2006; 22 min.) includes reflections on race, family and community by members of the Walker family, including one of Papa’s daughters, Blanche Walker Somerville, age 98. Marlon also visits one of the oldest standing slave quarters in the state of Maryland, and discusses the history of race relations with Washington College CV Starr Center scholar Adam Goodheart. The documentary also features original music composed and performed by Marlon Saunders.
